The Global Soil Week aims to inform about the sustainable management of soils by bringing together stakeholder from all over the world. This years Global Soil Week took place in Berlin from October 27th to October 31st.
My interest is to see if the attention the Global Soil Week created ended with the first of November. Or if soil ist a stable topic of interest. So, as the post-title tells, a look at some twitter statistics it is! For the query I used the Hashtag #soil as well as #GlobalSoilWeek.
The Hashtag #GSW is used for the Global Soil Week as well as for some US sports team so I couldn't use this one.
Down below you see the usage of #soil in Tweets over the last seven days:
751 Tweets in total, Time frame: 01/11/2013 13:19:02 - 10/11/2013 8:25:02 |
Twitter does not provide data which is older than 7 days, so I'm a little late with my analyses. But anyway, during the last week the usage of the hashtag #soil was rather stable. Basically a reccuring fluktuation was monitored. On most days you see a peek once towards midnight (GMT+1:00). Another conspicuous point is the decrease between the 2nd and the 6th November. Not observable is a steadily decrease of the use of the hashtag #soil.
On the other hand the term #GlobalSoilWeek has only been used 13 times in total last week.
Based on these two mini analyses you could say #soil seems to be a continuous topic whilst #GlobalSoilWeek only seems to be interesting during the time of the actual of the event.
